            View on American Constitution

            My View on American Constitution
After the American Independence War, the young American confronted a new challenging difficulty that was how to change the incompact relationship between the thirteen states and form a strong and powerful central government, thus, the representatives from nine states supported to establish the federal constitution to strengthen the powers of the national government. In May 1787, the American people made the first constitution and established the federal structure of the US. In 1989, the first government was found according to the checks and balances. According to the constitution of the United States, the American government consists three branches, which are the executive branch, the legislative branch and the judicial branch. The three branches obey the rule of checks and balance, and each branch is given powers and duties that ensure that not only can it made American a powerful central unified whole, in stead of the incompact federal states, but also made it a reality that the other branches would not have too much power and break the federal law. The executive power shall be vested in a President of the United States of American; the president is the head of the army and can propose and veto legislation. He shall hold his office during the term of four years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same term, be elected, as follows. All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives. Obviously, congress has the rights to pass laws and approve the President's proposal. If the president breaks the constitution or is impeached, the senate of congress also has the right to deal with the impeachment. The judicial power of the United States shall be vested in one Supreme Court and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The Supreme Court has the right to interpret the constitution and determine whether the acts of the president and the congress are constitutional. Thus, because the functions of government are divided and balanced, the three branches have different rights and duties, and they can supervise each other but control others. This combination forms a perfect national government system. Comparing the Britain Bills of Rights, after the Glorious Revolution, Britain established constitutional monarchy and bourgeois democracy eventually. However, the United States created the beginning of democratic republicanism according to the constitution. The two political systems are different structure of the government, though the comparison, we can easily make a conclusion that the American government is much more powerful and democratic than that of Britain’s. Considering the severe condition after the independence war, the US constitution really strengthened the national power and ensured that a young country suffered from the division of the nation and the invasion of colonial expansion. So we can say that the constitution of the United States was of far-reach historic significance for American. Today, the constitution of the United States has a history of morn than 230 years; it has been revised and perfected continually, and still have an immeasurable significance in American national system.
